Job description

MST ENGINEERING GLOBAL SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Kajang, Selangor. This full‑time role will involve providing strategic and cost‑effective quantity surveying services to support our construction projects. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

What you’ll be doing

• To prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
• To track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Analysing and managing project costs to maximize profitability
• Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitoring project progress and providing regular cost reports
• To monitor all variation orders are well recorded and claimed
• Identifying and mitigating financial risks throughout the construction process
• Liaising with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders
• Providing expert quantity surveying advice and support to the wider project team
• Any ad hoc matters or assignment from time to time.

What we’re looking for

• 4‑7 years of post‑qualification experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally gained within the construction industry
• Strong technical knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and quantity surveying principles
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and tools
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
• Problem‑solving mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying
