A manufacturing company located in Malaysia is seeking an experienced production planner to develop and maintain production schedules. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in production planning, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in planning software such as SAP. You will lead a team of planners and ensure timely delivery of products while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires excellent communication, detail orientation, and problem-solving abilities.
-Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing inventory levels.
-Analyze demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels to develop achievable production plans and schedules.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to gather input, resolve issues, and align production schedules with business objectives.
-Monitor production performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
-Lead and mentor a team of production planners and schedulers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional development and growth.
-Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules.
-Communicate production schedules, updates, and changes to stakeholders, including production teams, management, and customers.
-Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
-Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
-Prepare and present production reports, presentations, and analysis to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
-Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
-Assist in any tasks as instructed by your superior and/or management of AESB from time to time.
·Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
·Proven experience in production planning and scheduling, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
·Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
·Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
·Leadership abilities, with experience in leading and mentoring a team of production planners and schedulers.
·Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
·Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, production processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
·Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements and proactively address challenges and opportunities.
·Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production issues.
