What requirements you'll need to be eligible
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a senior role within the travel and tourism industry.
    • Proven track record of managing and delivering successful products within travel booking systems, hotel supplier platforms, or payment gateways.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of product development processes, agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) specific to travel technologies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders within the travel domain.
    • Analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure product success.
    • Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, specifically for travel-related products.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing on the job

Job Summary:

As a Senior PO, you will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the development of our core systems, including booking flows, payment gateways, and ancillary services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and sales, to deliver high-quality products that enhance the customer experience and drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the travel industry, with expertise in managing systems like Juniper, Amadeus and online booking platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Vision:
    • Own one of the functional area of focus (search & book, payment, integration) which includes product vision, roadmap and delivery to drive meaningful impact to company objectives and business goals.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis that drives product innovation ideas and roadmap prioritization.
  • Product Backlog Management:
    • Actively build product backlog aligned to products vision and roadmap
    • Deliver clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting information for effective prioritization decisions aligned with business goals, market demands and technical feasibility
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies for travel-related products and services.
  • Product Development:
    • Work closely with engineering and design teams throughout the development process to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of booking flows, ancillary services, and payment systems.
    • Make data-driven decisions, using analytics and customer feedback to iterate on product features.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to travel systems (e.g., conversion rates, ancillary revenue, payment success rates) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
    • Conduct post-launch analysis and gather feedback to inform future development and product iterations.
  • Leadership & Mentorship:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Product Owners and other team members within the travel domain.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity within the product team.
