Your responsibilities:
- Perform procurement activities (direct & indirect) and its related activities to meet the cost, schedule and quality requirements for all parts of the business
- Ensure cost-effective products and services are provided to the business with consistent quality and propose alternative products with competitive pricing
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts and contractual relationships
- Prepare and review costing and planning of purchases on a weekly and monthly basis and manage a budget of over RM2mil
- Maintain and review from time to time an up-to-date supplier base and necessary documentation
- Analyse past and future inventory demand volumes, inventory trends and make forecasts to minimise wastages or surplus
- Work closely with chefs in New Product Development such as new ingredients sourcing, menu items and recipe creation
- Achieve cost saving targets and demonstrate effective negotiation techniques
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of procurement policies and procedures
- Plan and carry out vendor audits periodically
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time
You are:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in procurement
- F&B industry highly preferred
- High energy and great communication skills
- Proactive and great problem‑solving skills
- Track record in negotiations and sourcing alternative products
- Comfortable working analytically
- Sense of urgency and able to multitask
- Basic understanding and knowledge of procurement and supply chain
