Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to support our clients offshore and onshore oil & gas operations and projects. The role focuses on ensuring robust process safety management, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction across the asset and project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate process safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA/SIL, Bowtie, and QRA.
• Provide technical assurance for process safety deliverables, design reviews, and operational activities.
• Support and advise on Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and international codes (e.g. API, IEC, OSHA).
• Participate in MOC, technical risk assessments, and project reviews.
• Investigate process safety incidents and near misses; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Interface with clients, project teams, regulators, and stakeholders on process safety matters.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior process safety engineers.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 to15 years of experience in process safety and/or process engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience in process safety studies and risk assessments.
• Good knowledge of oil & gas / petrochemical industry standards and practices.
• Experience supporting offshore and/or onshore facilities is an advantage.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
