A leading procurement company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Planner Executive to analyze sales trends and forecast future demand. Responsibilities include inventory management, procurement planning, and reporting KPIs. The ideal candidate has a degree in Supply Chain or related fields and 2–5 years of experience in planning, particularly in the medical or FMCG industry. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel are essential. The role offers opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.
Analyze historical sales trends (600+ SKUs) and market data to forecast future demand.
Coordinate with sales teams (hospital & private sector) to gather monthly sales projections.
Maintain forecast accuracy through regular review and adjustment.
2. Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory (avoid overstock/stockout).
Classify inventory using ABC analysis based on revenue and movement trends.
Implement fast/slow-moving stock strategies and safety stock levels.
Review product shelf life and manage near-expiry items.
3. Procurement Planning
Generate purchase plans based on forecast, safety stock, and supplier lead time.
Coordinate with purchasing team to place and follow up on orders.
Prioritize urgent replenishment for critical medical products.
Track supplier performance and lead times to align procurement with customer requirements.
Communicate proactively with suppliers on delays or quantity changes.
5. Reporting & KPI Monitoring
Track and report key planning KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turnover, Fill Rate).
Generate monthly inventory and stock health reports.
Support management with data-driven insights for decision-making.
6. System & Process Optimization
Utilize Autocount systems for planning and replenishment.
Suggest improvements to planning tools, parameters, and workflow efficiency.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to align supply and demand.
Support tender planning and government contract stock allocations.
Degree in Supply Chain, Business Admin, Logistics or related field.
2–5 years experience in planning, preferably in medical or FMCG industry.
Strong analytical skills; Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, forecasting models).
Familiar with Autocount software.
Good communication and coordination skills.
