Job summary

A logistics and warehousing company in Gelang Patah seeks an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee operations and ensure effective inventory and warehouse management. Responsibilities include supporting supply chain initiatives, maintaining optimal inventory levels, leading a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring warehouse safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
  • Support Supply Chain Division in timely issuance of parts once requested by Engineering & Facilities Division via efficient parts managements and to make sure parts received is in good condition, correct item code and store in good warehouse condition. Support inventory management via efficient parts management and provisioning to make sure parts availability, ensure that the inventory values are accurate and are kept at optimum level.

Warehouses
  • Institute immediate corrective action in the event of any inventory discrepancy.
  • Responsible for the overall operations of the warehouse by specifically ensuring the effective use of pooled resource for all work locations.
  • Ensure the operational productivity and services is achieved maintained at the targeted level and continuously improved.
  • Take regular stock of the inventory by conducting cycle count on daily basis and periodically basis in order to ensure accuracy of product inventories against system records.
  • Responsible for the Warehouse Safety, Security, Cleanliness and Orderliness of the work environment.
  • Ensuring the Warehouse as a safe working place for all users.
  • Conduct Daily Stand up (DSU) meeting with Executives and Team Leaders to discuss previous days performance (KPI) on leading and lagging measures and action plans to improve performance as well as daily operational the issue
  • Participate in various Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives embark by the company.
  • Responsible to execute the Inventory Clean-up project as and when required by the company.
Organizational Development
  • Responsible for the accuracy of warehouse tasks in receiving, put away, order picking and issuance of parts.
  • Responsible to ensure timely and accurate posting of warehouse transactions into the ERP system in order to ensure up to date and accurate inventory records for planning purposes.
  • Consistently auditing the physical and system process to ensure high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Ensuring internal control of the warehouse operations are consistently being checked, audited and challenged.
  • Responsible to maintain the valid permits, certifications and calibration and testing carried out as per plan for tools and fuel equipment
Inventory Management
  • Responsible for ensuring Inventory to keep at Optimum level to support the needful of operation requirement.
  • Responsible in performing improvement activities for Inventory holding reduction.
ERP
  • Responsible for process development mapping
  • Responsible for development of Solution Definition Document (SDD)
  • Responsible for development of Personalize Features Solution (PFF)
  • Responsible for completion of Inventory and Warehouse modules
  • Responsible for creation of test cases
  • Responsible for the appointment of ERP Key User and Superuser
  • Responsible for successful of Key User Training (KUT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) for RAMCO base product and final product
Logistics
  • Transport arrangement for parts delivery and collection
  • Customs clearance IN and OUT items, import duty and GST for non-local purchased.
  • Tax exemption approval
  • Spares for recondition

Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Commercial Degree / Inventory/ Supply Chain/ Warehouse Management/ Procurement /Engineering is essential.
Experience
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years experience in progressive Inventory/ Warehouse Management experience or another related field.
