Introduced in July 2018, Setel is a mobile platform that aims to delight customers by innovating for better, inclusive mobility. Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.

Role Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Marketing is a high-impact senior manager to lead a powerful portfolio across performance, lifecycle and product marketing. The person owns the strategy and execution across three critical pillars:

  • Scalable performance marketing that drives acquisition and growth.
  • Data-driven CLM that deepens engagement and retention.
  • Purposeful product MarComm that turns use cases (fuel and non-fuel) into campaigns for usage, conversion and habits.

The role demands a good blend of strategic leadership, channel and platform expertise, and executional precision. He/she will partner across Marketing, Product, Data, Tech, CX, Commercial (Fintech and Mobility) and Fuel PDB Retail and MarComm teams to deliver campaigns that connect meaningfully online and offline.

In this role you will:
  • Lead and scale performance marketing across META, GDN, SEO, TikTok, programmatic and other affiliate channels.
  • Develop channel strategies that deliver optimal CAC (CPU/CPA), ROAS, CPI, LTV by product category, campaigns and implementations for fuel and non fuel.
  • Build optimised targeting, bidding and optimisation frameworks, backed by data, insights and experimentation.
  • Partnership with analytics, agency and departments to ensure end-to-end attribution and performance visibility.
  • Guide creative direction for high-attention grabbing and converting ad formats tailored for each stage of the user funnel and lead media planning for major GTMs, seasonal promos, campaigns and high-impact launches.
  • Personalised, insight-driven journeys across user touch points to increase frequency, engagement and loyalty. To own the full CLM strategy from onboarding to win back, across all CLM funnels.
  • Drive segmentation models and automation work flows based on user behaviours, product usage and loyalty patterns and tiers.
  • Launch CLM blueprints for priority segments i.e fuel-driven, subsidy users, lifestyle customers
  • Partner with data and product teams to test and optimise behavioural nudges, upsell flows and retention levers.
  • Define and monitor CLM KPIs i.e MTC, Churn rate, retention rate, and more.
  • Lead go-to market planning and messaging for key product verticals.
  • Produce and lead in translating use cases/products into emotionally resonant benefits using aligned and localised language and visuals.
  • Ensure MarComm alignment across all marketing channels i.e ATL, BTL, in-app, digital, social, PR, on-ground and at-stores to connect product use cases to moments that matter.
  • Work closely with the creative and design team, CLM, Brand/Strate Comms, Business Units (Commercial and PDB MarComm) to ensure campaigns are consistent, human-centric and measurable.
You're a great fit if you have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or a related field (Master’s or any relevant professional and/or skills driven certifications as added advantages).
  • Minimum 10-12 years in digital marketing, brand communications and activations with at least 5 years in a senior role in marketing, campaign management, product marketing, preferably in a related industry or company.
Technical/Functional Skills
  • Strong skills in digital marketing tools (GDN, GA4, GSC, LLM, Meta Business Suite, CRM, etc).
  • Marrying data with situational skills and mindset with a deep understanding of the relevant metrics for campaigns.
  • Strong usage skills of tools related to the scope i.e Braze, iSentia, GA4, etc)
  • Ability to plan and manage budgets, agencies and cross‑functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Good in number projections

  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Ability to delegate tasks successfully and communicate clearly
  • Customer‑oriented and understand customer's pain points
