A leading financial services company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager for Credit Management. The successful candidate will develop credit management policies, assess credit risks, and manage a team. A minimum of 5 years experience in the stockbroking industry, ideally in Credit Management, is required. Candidates should possess strong decision-making skills, an understanding of regulatory requirements, and excellent communication abilities. This position entails preparing reports for senior management and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Develop and review credit management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Observe latest regulatory requirement and update department P&P periodically according to the latest requirement.
Credit Assessment
Review and approve credit assessment for clients and assign credit limit based on client's credit profile accurately and timely.
Ensure periodical review in conducted as per company/ regulatory standard and requirements.
Monitor and manage the credit exposure of the firm.
Identify and mitigate credit risks through effective risk management strategies.
Manage and improve debt collection process which inclusive of review of settlement proposal from client.
Ensure that credit management related decision are executed in line with the delegated authority while adhering to the process standard defined by Company.
Training and Development
Assist Head of department in coaching to staff to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Reporting and Compliance
Prepare regular reports and presentations on credit risk management and market development activities for senior management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Stay updated with industry developments and changes in credit risk management practices.

Job Requirements
Minimum Diploma holder or Degree Holder, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
At least 5 years of experience in the stockbroking industry, specifically in Credit Management or related functions.
Relevant certifications in credit, risk management, or financial services are a plus.
Proven experience in managing credit operations, including credit evaluation, margin financing, client exposure monitoring, and trade settlement processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop a credit management team.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage high-risk situations effectively.
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements by Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission (SC), and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
Competent in analyzing financial statements, client trading behavior, and key risk indicators.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal departments, dealers, senior management, and regulators.
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
