Lam Soon – Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor

Responsible for effective plant machinery maintenance as well as upkeep of plant facilities and utilities as to ensure smooth facilities and utilities support for overall plant operations.

Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities in the operations, including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Manage and review the modification and improvement projects, and to lead the engineering projects with cross functional teams to ensure timely project completion within budget and meeting expectations.

Identify and study opportunities for equipment & process improvement by taking an active role in plant improvement and providing technical support as well as troubleshooting for sites.

Review existing work practices and implement necessary improvements.

Result Orientation

Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.

Provide monthly maintenance reports and costs and field trouble shooting assistance.

Monitor HSE procedures and recommend strategies to avoid accidents for ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.

Responsible for continuing improvement of existing facilities and machineries to achieve better production yields.

Planning Execution

Liaise with utilities providers such as TNB and Air Selangor on utility services and compliance issues.

Liaise and network with relevant authorities i.e. DOSH, DOE, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, BOMBA and other related agencies for continuous operations and compliance.

Ensure compliance of daily activity in a facility, which including the IETS, Sewage Treatment Plant, dust collectors and etc. to be within the regulatory permissible limit.

Liaise with other department/suppliers on machine repair and ensure minimum breakdown of production machinery.

Supervise work of the maintenance team and contractors to ensure work is done and complied with safety regulations, and to follow up on any deficiencies.

On-going review and active participation from strategy through to implementation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation such as the HSE notices, ISO9001, ISO14001, HACCP, Halal, DOSH, BOMBA and other relevant QHSE legislations.

Plant asset monitoring with coordination from account and costing department.

Problem Solving

Responsible for utility management system; monitor, review as well as improve on utility consumption of the plant and strive to minimise costs.

Upgrade machinery and equipment towards automation and productivity improvement.

Responsible to develop and execute safety and health plans at the workplace according to legal guidelines.

Ensure competency and development of subordinates by providing coaching and mentoring. Oversee training programs in Maintenance department to educate technical operations personnel on standard operating procedures.

Arrange necessary training for team member in technology, competency and safety & health.

Sharing knowledge and experience with team members in technical, rules & regulations and safety& health.

Others

To perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

Candidate must possessBachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering(Electrical/Electronic/Industrial/Mechanical) or equivalent.

Possess high standards of integrity and personal work standards – strong knowledge, experience and skills in cross-cultural negotiation and business environment.

Proactive,self-starterand capable of managing multiple projects / priorities at once.

Experienced in rules and regulations adherence and audit process such as ISO, HALAL, HACCP, BOMBA and Safety, Health & Environment.

Able to think out-of-the-box, drive dynamism & encourage new ideas.
