Job summary

A leading network engineering company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Internet Protocol Network Engineer to design and build IP networks for enterprise customers. This role includes working on submarine cable systems using advanced DWDM optical technologies. Candidates should have strong analytical skills and a solid background in IP networking, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. The position emphasizes customer engagement and team management for technical support.

Qualifications

• Preferred minimum Cisco CCNP or equivalent qualification.
• Deep knowledge of IP network routing with detailed working knowledge of BGP, OSPF and IS‑IS routing protocols.
• Customer‑focused approach with the ability to build and sustain strong client relationships.

Overview

This is an exciting role where you will design and build IP networks for large enterprise customers in Malaysia, including submarine cable systems using state‑of‑the‑art DWDM optical network technologies. The position offers experience in data communications networks for enterprises and subsea optical network engineering, with a focus on agile and strategic thinking to scale R ~Nets' top line.

Responsibilities

• Work with the sales team to craft competitive technical proposals, prepare quotations, and engage with clients to understand their technical challenges.
• Develop bidding specifications and design technical solutions for ePerolehan, RFPs, and tenders, including bid preparation and submission via electronic platforms.
• Conduct periodic network reviews of customers’ networks against BNM RMiT policies for compliance.
• Manage a team to provide 24/7 technical support to customers.
• Participate in full‑stack projects for AI, cloud networking and ContainerLab.
• Participate in DWDM optical network projects.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Preferred minimum Cisco CCNP or equivalent qualification.
• Deep knowledge of IP network routing with detailed working knowledge of BGP, OSPF and IS‑IS routing protocols.
• Customer‑focused approach with the ability to build and sustain strong client relationships.
