Job Overview

This HR Business Partner (HRBP) provides day‑to‑day performance management guidance to management, including coaching, career development, counseling, and disciplinary actions.

You’ll work closely with management and employees to improve relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

The role involves supporting the organization's effectiveness by developing and implementing solutions aligned with the company's strategy. You will also provide guidance and interpretation on labor laws and HR policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Management & Support: Provide guidance and support to management on performance issues and resolve complex employee‑relations issues. You’ll also provide informal leadership and mentorship to less experienced HR professionals.
  • Strategy: Develop and implement people plans and talent management processes. Provide input on workforce planning, business unit restructuring, and succession planning.
  • Analytics: Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions and programs that address current and future problems.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships across the business by conducting regular meetings and building trust with department leaders.
  • Collaboration: Partner with other HR teams on recruitment, compensation, and other HR functions to ensure effective and efficient programs.
  • Legal & Compliance: Maintain in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • More than 6 years of relevant experience as an HR Business Partner in a large organization, preferably supporting commercial or corporate functions. Preferred background in heavy industries, oil & gas, construction, engineering, etc.
  • Strong experience in IR, handling disciplinary matters in an industrial environment.
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in HR, Psychology, or Business.
  • Strong strategic view, corporate culture alignment, and excellent communication skills. You should be confident in delivering presentations and be able to challenge the status quo to drive change.
  • Must be able to be based in Lumut, Perak permanently.
