A leading Malaysian company based in Tawau is seeking an experienced HR Manager to ensure compliance with regulations, manage payroll processing, and support recruitment efforts. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in HR or related fields along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. This role requires strong knowledge of employment laws and proficiency in HR software. Local Sabahan candidates are preferred, and non-Sabahans must obtain a work permit.
1. Ensure that salary and compensation practices are in compliance with laws and regulations relevant at the time.
2. Timely administer payroll processing systems and ensure 100% accuracy payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, statutory deduction, taxes and other deductions.
3. To prepare and follow up on staff movement or status change e.g.: confirmation letter, transfer letter, promotion, extension of probation, acceptance of resignation, termination, abscondment and any related HR documentation.
4. Liaison with insurance companies to monitor, claim reimbursement and administer benefits program such as group personal accident insurance, group hospitalization & surgical insurance and group term life (addition/deletion, claim, reports).
5. Support and assist in the hiring of staff to meet the company’s manpower needs.
6. Manage administrative activities for recruitment including but not limited to preparing offer letters, logistic coordinating. Follow up to calibrate interview results and update the successful or failed interview outcome accordingly.
7. Attract applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruitment agencies to support recruitment activities, and using various newsgroups, social media platforms and job sites.
8. To plan, develop and implement individual /organizational development initiatives to support business plan of the organizations and departmental KPIs.
9. Responsible in overall training program which include identifying training and development needs through appraisal schemes and regular consultation with Heads of department.
Job Requirement:
1. Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or equivalent.
2. Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in Human Resources.
3. Knowledgeable in Employment Act 1955, Sabah Labour Ordinance, relevant statutory HR requirements and government legislations.
4. Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant HR software.
5. Preferable local Sabahan. Non Sabahan will be required work permit.
