Senior General Ledger Accountant – Drive Financial Accuracy and Compliance!

Join our finance team as a Senior General Ledger Accountant and take charge of full set of accounts, monthly closings, and statutory tax submissions. This role is key to ensuring financial transparency and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage the full set of accounts including journal entries, general ledger, monthly closings, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and management analysis to support decision‑making.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing in ERP/accounting systems.
• Process staff claims, vendor invoices, and customer payments efficiently within established timelines.
• Ensure financial documentation complies with ISO 9001 QMS standards, maintaining proper version control and traceability.
• Coordinate and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises.
• Assist in statutory tax submissions such as SST and corporate income tax.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules and providing documentation as needed.
• Participate in physical stock counts and perform inventory‑accounting reconciliations.
• Manage and ensure compliance with Malaysia’s e‑Invoice requirements, including issuance, validation, and submission through LHDN MyInvois system.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement and maintain e‑Invoice processes per regulatory guidelines.
• Perform other ad‑hoc finance‑related assignments as assigned.

Qualifications

Working Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in handling full set of accounts.

Experience in corporate finance or audit setting is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are an added advantage.

Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Odoo ERP or accounting systems is preferred.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Bilingual (e.g., English and Mandarin) is an added advantage.
