Overview

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node.js / React / Next.js) – Hybrid role based in Bangsar, with some remote work flexibility. The Senior Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. Daily tasks include implementing front-end and back-end functionality, optimising web performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest web development technologies and trends.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React and Next.js
• Implement SSR/SSG/ISR for SEO, performance, and scalability
• Ensure responsive, mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility
• Optimize frontend performance and page load speed (Core Web Vitals)
• Design and develop APIs using Node.js (REST and/or GraphQL); authentication and secure API access
• Integrate with third-party services, payment gateways, analytics, and CMS platforms
• Work with headless CMS platforms (WordPress, Strapi, Payload, or similar) and support publishing workflows
• Maintain CMS security, performance, and uptime; implement cache invalidation and content sync
• Collaborate with cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or equivalent

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of full-stack web development
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js
• Strong experience with React and Next.js
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS
• Experience building and maintaining production APIs
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with CMS or content-driven websites
• Understanding of website operations, performance, and security
• Comfortable in a Linux/server environment
