Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Senior Finance Associate to join a dynamic regional finance team within a high‑growth e-commerce platform. This role supports finance operations under the marketplace finance scope, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, managing settlement processes, and supporting automation and transformation projects.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating financial systems, resolving operational issues, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month‑end closing activities and ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition.
• Support day‑to‑day marketplace finance operations: seller queries, settlements, billing, reconciliation, and payment processes.
• Work closely with Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to validate key marketplace metrics and ensure accounting treatment aligns with policy (e.g. principal vs agent).
• Partner with product/system teams to ensure accurate data flow between platforms and accounting systems.
• Identify and resolve reconciliation issues involving operational data and accounting entries.
• Supervise BPO vendors handling operational finance tasks.
• Drive process improvements and automation in financial operations.
• Coordinate with tax, audit, and compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and governance.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Provide training to local country teams to strengthen financial understanding and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in finance/accounting roles.
• Experience in regional operations or e-commerce/technology platform businesses is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communicator across finance and non‑finance teams.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin‑speaking clients (required).
• Familiarity with SAP or SAP HANA is a strong plus.
• Able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Working Hours & Location

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Location: UOA Corporate Tower, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: RM 5,000 – RM 7,000 (based on experience)
• Overtime: Paid if working on weekends/public holidays (based on project/business need)
