Job summary

A leading procurement firm in Malaysia seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement activities. You will develop sourcing strategies, conduct supplier evaluations, and lead negotiations to optimize costs and ensure quality. Manage end-to-end procurement activities across the organization to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and compliance.

Develop, implement, and refine sourcing strategies to support business objectives and optimize spending.

Conduct supplier sourcing, evaluation, and selection to build and maintain a reliable supplier base.

Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to secure the best value for the organization.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring adherence to service levels, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Manage contract administration, including renewal tracking, documentation accuracy, and compliance with internal controls.

Execute category management activities, including spend analysis, market research, and category strategy development.

Support e‑procurement systems and digital initiatives to improve process automation and procurement efficiency.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with operational and strategic requirements.

Identify cost‑saving opportunities through analysis, process improvements, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing.

Prepare procurement reports and dashboards for management review, highlighting performance, risks, and improvement areas.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Resolve procurement issues and disputes to ensure business continuity and minimize operational disruptions.

Participate in procurement improvement projects, supporting system enhancements, workflow optimization, and best practices.

Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation to ensure transparency, traceability, and audit readiness.

Job Requirements
  • 1–3 years of procurement or supply chain experience (centralized or group‑level preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience with procurement systems, including analysis, evaluation, and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, contract management, cost analysis, and category management.
  • Familiarity with e‑procurement systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong communication and coordination skills.
