Job description
Senior Executive - Environmental, Safety & Health

Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental legislation, regulation and company policies.

Conduct environment monitoring (air, water, noise and waste) and coordinate with external laboratories or regulatory bodies.

Manage waste segregation, disposal, record and recycling program to minimize environmental impact.

Represent the company to external regulators (e.g., DOE, EMAS).

Review regulatory changes and update policies accordingly.

Attend official meetings, inspections and audits.

Submit formal correspondences and ensure statutory obligations are met.

Escalate and advise management on critical issues from regulators.

Develop and implement Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and procedures aligned with ISO 14001 standards.

Develop environmental training modules and annual safety campaigns. Ensure company-wide awareness and understanding.

Ensure master record of all safety compliance documents and forms.

Responsible for investigating any incident that may cause or has caused an adverse impact on the environment.

Create a company and user account in the ESWIS portal. Record scheduled waste generation, storage and disposal details. Submit monthly or quarterly waste reports through the system. Ensure all information entered matches DOE requirements and actual operations.

Support the HSE team in implementing the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001). Assist in conducting workplace inspections, incident investigations and risk assessments. Participate in emergency response planning, drills and safety campaigns. Support HSE data reporting, performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsible for overseeing the safe handling, storage and usage of chemicals within the workplace, including maintaining an updated chemical inventory, ensuring Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) are available, and verifying that all chemical‑related activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal HSE procedures.

Requirements
  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Environmental Safety and Health or equivalent.
  • Possess valid certification Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management-CePSWAM from the Department of Environment (DOE) Malaysia.
  • Green Book Holder is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in industrial relations or related.
  • Knowledgeable related to Environmental Quality Act.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in environmental management.
  • Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 90001 implementation.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
