Job summary

A leading plastic manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks a Project Engineer responsible for overseeing product development from design through to mass production. The ideal candidate will have at least a degree in Mechanical Engineering, excellent communication skills in English and Malay, and ideally Mandarin. Technical knowledge in plastic injection moulding and experience in the automotive industry are significant advantages. This role also involves preparing progress reports and coordinating closely with suppliers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Good command of English and Malay is essential.
• Mandarin language skills are a plus.
• Technical knowledge in plastic injection moulding and automotive industry is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge in operating Catia, Solid Works, or Auto CAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Project Engineering including product development from design to mass production.
• Analyze and monitor product development to meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers on all matters related to product development.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and coordinate with other departments.
• Identify and analyze problems in the development process.
