Job description

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Senior Credit Analyst.

The jobholder is responsible to perform risk assessments on customer with the understanding of financial ratios and general economic data. He/she will give recommendations and establishments of credit limit within the company policy and approval authority.

The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a Senior Credit Analyst you will:

1. Perform risk assessments on new and existing accounts and make recommendations on the appropriate credit limits, risk categories, and credit terms so that well-founded decisions can be taken.
2. Make calculated-risk decisions about acceptable credit terms/ credit limits of our customers up to a certain amount.
3. Lead active engagement and negotiation with sales account holders to resolve credit requests or issues.
4. Gather and analyze economic data to determine the impact on business operations as appropriate.
5. Monitor and evaluate performance of credit systems for the management of portfolio, credit review, and external scoring tools to ensure information is up to date.
6. Prepare reporting on credit performance using IT or automation tools to enforce controls as per SOX.
7. Perform other projects or special assignments as required.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

1. A university degree in Finance/ Economics and minimum 10 years of experience in credit risk analysis (preferably in a credit insurance, rating agency, banking industry).
2. Good working knowledge of IT systems (Windows Office, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, Celonis).
3. Fluency in English.
4. Flexible on working time due to global portfolio and stakeholders.
5. Knowledge of risk mitigation solutions (e.g. Pledge on assets, bank guarantees, Letter of credits) is a plus.
6. Good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
7. Thoroughness, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
