Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor is seeking a Costing Manager with over 6 years of experience in financial analysis and costing within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will prepare and manage manufacturing costing, ensure accurate inventory valuation, and lead financial reporting efforts. Candidates must hold a degree in Accounting and possess strong analytical skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. This role offers a dynamic work environment focusing on continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in costing or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant financial reporting and taxation in Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and responsible for manufacturing costing
  • Derive, implement, and refine cost accounting methods to accurately collect and analyse data for costing purposes
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure data is correctly collected from production activities, machine usage, and labour hours for accurate costing
  • Involve in cycle count/stock count and conduct analysis on slow moving and potential write-off risks
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation in line with accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting with accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior or management.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting or Professional qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in costing or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of local financial reporting, regulatory reporting and Taxation (direct and indirect tax in Malaysia).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and other office tools.
  • Employee must be self‑motivated with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
