A prominent architecture firm in Johor is seeking a Senior Architect to lead design projects and manage junior colleagues. This role demands strong leadership skills and a minimum of 5 years of experience in the architecture field. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, ensure compliance with design standards, and carry projects from conception to completion. Job description

Position: Senior Architect

Status: 6 months probation under PERSOLKELLY, to be absorbed into company if suitable

Location: Senai, Johor

Company: Architecture Firm

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: 9am - 6pm (1 hour lunch break)

Salary: up to RM10k

Requirements
  1. Registered board of architect Part III is a bonus.
  2. Minimum 5 years working experiences in related field.
  3. Must possess a strong leadership quality in leading drafter, 3D visualizer & Junior colleagues on the working direction.
  4. Speak mandarin is a preferred as need to liaise with Taiwan.
Responsibilities
  1. Work with & report directly to the Senior Architect / Project Director on all matters pertaining to the assigned projects and issues.
  2. Provide technical guidance and working direction to the Junior design team members.
  3. Participate in project meetings. Meet with clients and determine their needs and requirements and align with company design vision & mission.
  4. Developing and presenting project, schedule / design proposals.
  5. Review & check design, technical / tender / construction drawings to make sure the drawings developments are aligned with client requirements.
  6. Ensure all the drawings delivered to clients are neat & comply to company drawings standard.
  7. Managing projects from concept development through to completion (CCC Stage).
  8. Lead coordination of all disciplines, associates and other specialists to produce a comprehensive and coordinated design, tender & construction document set that meets the requirements of the client, local building code, and any other applicable law.
  9. Adjusting design and plans sketches by senior / project architect to meet the client’s needs and statutory requirements.
  10. Prepare a full set comprehensive design drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  11. Determine and adhere to the timelines given by client, senior / project director.
  12. Managing projects teams and collaborating with other construction professionals.
  13. Conducting tenders and administering building contracts.
  14. Responding to builder and client queries during, before and after construction.
  15. Attending regular meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and specialists and conducting regular site visit to check on progress, record & prepare meeting minutes & meeting agenda.
  16. Responsive to the client, senior / projects architect during working hours (via WhatsApp, email or other social apps).
Qualifications
