Swish Swimming is a boutique aquatic education brand founded in Singapore in 2015. Known for our high coaching standards, strong team culture, and child‑focused teaching approach, we serve a diverse community of local and international families.
As part of our regional growth, Swish Swimming is expanding into Malaysia. We are seeking a Senior Aquatics Coach (Training & Development) to play a key leadership role in establishing coaching standards, developing local talent, and ensuring the Swish quality of teaching is delivered consistently from day one.
The Role
This is a senior leadership position for an experienced swim coach who is passionate about both teaching in the water and developing other coaches.
You will be a hands‑on leader, responsible for maintaining coaching excellence, mentoring and training the coaching team, and supporting programme delivery, while continuing to coach swimmers directly.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Programme Delivery
- Deliver high‑quality swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, and children
- Uphold Swish Swimming’s teaching philosophy, safety standards, and class structure
- Ensure consistency and quality across all swimming programmes
- Train, mentor, and onboard new and junior coaches
- Conduct in‑water coaching observations, assessments, and feedback sessions
- Lead regular coach workshops, refreshers, and skills development sessions
- Support the creation and refinement of training resources and lesson frameworks
Leadership & Team Support
- Act as a role model in professionalism, communication, and class management
- Support supervisors and management in maintaining coaching standards
- Assist with performance reviews and development plans for coaching staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth‑focused team culture
Safety & Operations
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Remain calm, confident, and decisive during emergency situations
- Support smooth operations during peak periods and weekends
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4–5 years of swim coaching experience
- Proven experience in training, mentoring, or leading other coaches
- Strong understanding of early childhood aquatic education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, calm, and professional in high‑pressure environments
Preferred
- Relevant swim teaching or aquatic certifications
- Experience working with diverse teams and international families
- Passion for staff development and long‑term team building
