Job summary

A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the senior team with financial statements and management reports. The ideal candidate will possess at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential, as the role involves collaboration with Mandarin-speaking clients. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Overview

Support senior team members in preparing financial statements and management reports, adhering to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Co-ordinate with other departments to improve workflows to meet the deadlines for closing the monthly accounts. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, provide necessary information and documents, and address accounting and auditing issues. Liaise with tax agents on tax computation and filings, ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws. Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time.

Qualifications

• Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
• Minimum LCC & I Level 2 certificate or above
• Working Experience: Minimum 4 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry is an added advantage
• Skillset: Full set of accounts, month-end closing, cost accounting, and intercompany reconciliation
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing.
• Language: Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin. We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
