A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Production Manager to lead molding, assembly, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, with proven leadership capabilities. Responsibilities include conducting root cause analysis, managing manpower planning, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for leading molding, assembly, printing, maintenance, dyeing section
Lead and drive for continuous improvement in production activities in order to achieve delivery schedule planned by production planner
Perform root cause analysis and recommend short term and long term solutions to Production on defect issue
Responsible for promoting 5s within the production areas
Coordinate and liaise with material department, quality and engineering department pertaining to all production/defect issues
Responsible for system and database maintenance including ERP system, etc
Responsible for manpower planning and training need analysis (TNA) for manufacturing department.
To perform work study & analysis, and set the standard for Equipment Capacity & Utilization, people productivity, direct material usage, cycle time, handling method and system layout.
To create CIP, SIP, SOP to production floor.
Responsible to equipment maintenance including injection molding machines, overhead crane, air tanks, air compressor, cooling tower and etc.
To liaise with external parties if repair/maintenance are required by third party.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role such as Section Head, Supervisor, or Production Manager.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
Proficient in production planning, quality control, and resource management.
Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing software is an advantage.
Preferably some work experience in Injection & Molding field.
