SCIENCE TECHNICIAN - Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to support our very successful science department in providing high-quality science lessons and practicals from Year 5 up to IGCSE level. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation and execution of experiments and practicals, ensuring that all resources and materials are available for both teachers and students. You will work closely with teachers to create a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore and understand scientific concepts. Your responsibilities will include managing laboratory resources, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role not only requires a strong foundation in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics, but also excellent organisational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and students. You will oversee the preparation of laboratory materials, conduct inventory checks, and assist in the development of engaging curriculum resources that enhance the practical learning experience. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
  • Assist teachers in conducting experiments and demonstrations in the classroom.

  • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to and all chemicals are stored correctly.
  • Advise staff on risk assessments for chemicals safe equipment use.
