Job summary

A leading trading company in Selangor is seeking a Sales Representative to achieve sales targets and manage accounts. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of FMCG sales experience, ideally in trading or distribution. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills are crucial, along with effective communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. The role involves outlet coverage, order processing, and market intelligence, and requires willingness to travel and own transport. Immediate starters preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in trading.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities
Sales & Target Achievement
  • Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets
  • Execute sales strategies, promotions, and product launches
Outlet Coverage & Account Management
  • Manage and grow existing retail, wholesale, and distributor accounts
  • Open new outlets and expand distribution channels
  • Plan and execute efficient route coverage
Order Processing & Coordination
  • Take accurate orders and submit promptly
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics for timely delivery
  • Resolve order and delivery issues
Merchandising & Visibility
  • Ensure proper product display, shelf placement, and planogram compliance
  • Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and FIFO practice
Collection & Credit Control
  • Ensure timely collection of payments according to credit terms
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and comply with credit policies
Market Intelligence & Reporting
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback
Compliance & Professional Conduct
  • Comply with company policies, SOPs, and ethical standards
  • Safeguard company information and assets
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
  • At least a Diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3–5 years of FMCG sales experience, preferably in trading
  • Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Ability to speak Mandarin will be an added advantage
