A leading food distributor in Malaysia is seeking to fill a sales role focused on overseeing daily operations and achieving sales targets. Responsibilities include pursuing new sales opportunities, building relationships with customers, providing product training, and handling inquiries and complaints. Candidates must be proactive in improving sales strategies and maintaining records accurately. This position requires regular reporting to management and strong customer support skills.
Oversee daily sales operations to achieve outlet and company sales targets (monthly and yearly).
Actively pursue new sales opportunities and develop new accounts via inbound leads, outbound calls, and site visits.
Handle customer inquiries.
Build strong customer relationships and grow existing/new customer base through follow-ups and site visits.
Provide product training and demonstrate correct product usage at Alimart Outlets or customer sites.
Address customer complaints and offer effective after-sales support.
Stay updated on customer needs, industry trends, and business environments.
Maintain in-depth product and market knowledge.
Monitor competitors and identify opportunities to improve sales strategies.
Provide market feedback to the marketing/management team to support business planning.
Identify new growth opportunities aligned with the company’s marketing direction.
Prepare and submit sales and activity reports on a weekly, monthly, or as-needed basis.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Ensure smooth day-to-day outlet operations including:
Stock Ordering & Inventory Management
Cashiering
Customer Service
Report regularly to the Marketing & Operations Manager and relevant departments.
Maintain accurate records including PO, invoices, stock reports, sales reports, memos, and bank-in slips.
Conduct daily physical stock counts and ensure accuracy with the system.
