Job summary

A leading construction materials company in Gelang Patah is seeking a seasoned Sales Executive to engage with B2B clients and manage key accounts. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, conducting presentations, and maintaining customer relationships. Responsibilities
  • Explore potential customers and maintain good relationship with existing customers.
  • Develop and establish sales strategies to expand market share.
  • Planning of sales visit to customer to address customer’s needs.
  • Preparation of sales proposal, quotations and attending customer’s enquiries.
  • Conduct engaging technical presentations to illustrate product features and benefits to existing and prospective customers.
  • Preparation of document / presentation materials for tender project.
  • Liaising with internal & external stakeholder on project progression including performance bond preparation, delivery lead time, installation date etc.
  • Follow up payment status with client.
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, specifically in construction materials products.
  • Possess Diploma/ Degree in Construction Management/Building/Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or related field are preferred.
  • Proven experience managing key accounts, particularly with B2B customers such as manufacturers, contractors, or distributors.
  • Understanding of products, including aluminum alloy formwork, disctype scaffolding, and their specific applications.
  • Strong sales acumen, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to handle pricing, contracts, and terms with clients.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and presenting technical information.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and site visits.
  • Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia can be used as working language.
