Job description

We’re expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Safety & Health Officer for our new high-rise residential development in Nilai. Let’s build something great together!

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) matters relating to the implementation of work requirements of project sites.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct Safety, Health & Environmental activities, training programs and attend all project’ Safety, Health & Environmental meetings.
  • Prepare Project Safety, Health & Environment Plan (PQSHEP) and assist the project management team in assessing and monitoring its implementation.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) and Environment Aspect Impact framework to identify potential hazards on‑site.
  • Perform site inspection and audit to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations among all interested parties.
  • Report, investigate, and document all SHE related accidents, incidents, or near‑misses on the construction site to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Implement and coordinate emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, first aid, fire safety, and ensure that all site personnel are trained on emergency procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and regularly check and maintain PPE to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Carry out any other duties as and when instructed by Management from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Valid Green Book holder registered with DOSH.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as an SHO (preferably in high‑rise/building construction).
  • Familiar with CIDB, DOSH, and local authority safety requirements.
  • Experience in conducting toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and site inspection.
  • Able to lead, monitor, and enforce safety compliance at site.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
