Qualifications

Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced EHS & ESG Manager to lead safety, health, environmental, and sustainability initiatives in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with Malaysian regulations while driving safety culture, ESG performance, and continuous improvement aligned with the company’s 3-year roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, FMA, EQA, and other applicable regulations.
• Act as company representative to DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, and authorities.
• Manage Permit-to-Work, LOTO, contractor safety, and high-risk activities.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Drive safety culture through toolbox talks, near-miss reporting, BBS, and Safety Kaizen.
• Lead ESG initiatives covering energy, waste, carbon emissions, and circular economy.
• Establish and monitor Scope 1 & 2 carbon baseline: support Scope 3 data collection.
• Drive energy efficiency projects including solar, HVAC, compressor optimization.
• Oversee EHS digital systems for reporting, audits, waste, energy, and PTW.
• Prepare EHS & ESG reports for management and corporate requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Health, Environmental or related field.
• Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH – mandatory.
• Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian EHS laws and regulations.
• Exposure to ESG, sustainability, or energy management is an advantage.
