Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced individual to oversee the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) Management System. The role involves monitoring compliance with project requirements and providing guidance to the project team. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in engineering along with relevant qualifications in safety and health. This position emphasizes project management and the capacity to train and coach team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of working experience required.
• Diploma or Degree in Safety & Health with local certification (GREEN BOOK ONLY) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to ESH Management System and project requirements.
• Conduct regular internal audits and training programmes.

Job description

To ensure the effective implementation of procedures and processes is in conformance to standards.

To continuously promote awareness of project requirements as well as ESH practices throughout the project site and ensure that it is observed and adhered by the site and relevant parties at all times.

To provide sound advice and guidance to the project team to support the effective operations of the ESH Management System.

To continuously improve the ESH Management System by coordinating or conducting regular internal audits, awareness briefings, training, and induction programmes.

To assist the Person-In-Charge to comply with the Project ESH Management Plan.

To assign, coach and monitor sub-ordinates work and performances.

To monitor and expedite activities related to the monthly ESH Meetings and notification to relevant authorities.

To coordinate, monitor, and follow up problems raised relevant to Tower Crane, or any other heavy equipment.

To monitor tower crane operator’s discipline, performance.

To liaise with Authority for machinery inspection and site registration.

To monitor site Security performance and enforcement.

Ensure direct worker’s basic amenities and welfare have been properly attended.

Job Requirements :

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent.

At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.

Candidate will be required to have either a Diploma, Degree in Safety & Health with local certification (GREEN BOOK ONLY)

Independent and willing to perform multi-tasking duties.
