Position Summary

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of retail outlets to ensure smooth functioning, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales targets. This role involves supervising staff, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with company standards, and supporting promotional activities.

Key Responsibilities / Job Scope
Store Operations
  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of assigned retail outlets.
  • Ensure stores meet sales targets, KPIs, and service standards.
  • Monitor cashiering procedures, stock management, and store presentation.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and provide resolutions.
Team Supervision & Training
  • Lead, motivate, and coach retail staff to achieve sales and service goals.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance.
  • Train new staff on SOPs, customer service, and product knowledge.
  • Provide feedback and conduct performance reviews.
Inventory & Merchandising
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Supervise visual merchandising and store display compliance.
  • Support stock take, loss prevention, and shrinkage control.
Sales & Reporting
  • Drive sales by implementing strategies and upselling techniques.
  • Monitor store performance and submit daily/weekly/monthly sales reports.
  • Provide feedback on customer trends, competitor activity, and market needs.
Promotions & Events
  • Support the execution of in-store promotions and campaigns.
  • Ensure staff are briefed on ongoing promotions and new launches.
  • Assist in retail event setup and smooth operations.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
