Job summary

A leading medical facility in Kuala Lumpur is searching for a Medical Officer to join its Emergency Department. This role demands an MBBS degree or equivalent, valid Malaysian Medical Council registration, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities

• Direct all casualty patients to the Medical Officer stationed at the Emergency Department.
• Provide 24-hour medical cover and immediate first line resuscitation.
• Assist in the management of patients and provide back-up support to the consultant.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Tasks

• All casualty patients should be directed to the Medical Officer (MO) who is stationed at the Emergency Department (ED) according to the roster provided by the Hospital. It is pertinent that the Medical Officer should make it clear that he / she is a Medical Officer and that a specialist is available if so requested.
• To be part of a team providing 24-hour medical cover and immediate first line resuscitation to any hospital patient, visitor or staff member as required.
• To assist in the management of patients and provide back-up support to the consultant.
• To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
