Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Regional Sales Manager for heavy industry equipment. The successful candidate will build relationships with key clients and partners while developing business strategies for growth. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree and over five years of relevant experience in sales or account management within heavy industries. The role requires excellent communication skills in English and a willingness to travel across Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in key account management, ideally in heavy industries.
  • Proven track record in managing strategic customer accounts.
  • Fluent in English with additional SEA languages as a plus.

  • Develop a business plan to ensure long term growth of accounts across the assigned region.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitive landscape.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development, ideally within mining, manufacturing, or a related heavy industries.
  • Proven experience in managing strategic customer accounts, preferably in mining, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (spoken and written); additional SEA regional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia as needed.
