Your primary responsibility will be to analyze project requirements, gather necessary data, and provide accurate cost estimates for Company projects. You will play a critical role in helping the company make informed decisions on project bids, pricing, and resource allocation. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and knowledge of lightning solutions systems will contribute to the company's ability to competitively bid for projects and deliver cost-effective solutions to clients.
Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and documents to understand the scope of work and requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to gain insights into project needs.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Company projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Perform quantity take‑off for lightning solution components and materials required for each project.
- Obtain quotes from vendors and suppliers (via purchasing department) for lightning solution materials and equipment.
- Evaluate quotes to determine the most cost‑effective options.
- Assist in developing detailed project proposals for clients, outlining the scope of work, costs, and timelines.
- Collaborate with the sales team to establish project budgets based on cost estimates.
- Collaborate with the project team for Variation Orders (“VO”) as required.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering without compromising on quality.
- Participate in bid analysis to assess the competitiveness of the company's proposals.
- Maintain comprehensive records of cost estimates, quotes, and project‑related documentation.
- Keep project records up‑to‑date, ensuring confidentiality of documents.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market pricing, and advancements in lightning solution technology.
Qualifications
- Possess relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Proficient in AutoCAD with the ability to perform basic drafting tasks.
- Knowledge in material take‑off, quantity estimation, and cost analysis.
- Preferably experienced in preparing and interpreting AutoCAD drawings.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
