Job description

Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular and thorough audits of production processes, assembly lines, and test stations to ensure compliance with established work instructions, control plans, and PFMEA.
2. Manage the scheduling and execution of in-process audits, including technician assignment and coordination.
3. Initiate and manage containment actions (e.g., sorting, line stoppages) to prevent the outflow of defective products.
4. Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) activities.
5. Collect and analyze quality data for daily/weekly quality reports by highlighting trends, key issues, and performance.
6. Participate in the development and improvement of manufacturing and quality documentation (Control Plans, PFMEAs, Work Instructions, etc.).
7. Lead and execute strategic improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the company's overarching goals and objectives.
8. Lead the quality verification and formal buy off for new machinery, processes, and production lines to ensure its readiness before mass production.
9. Undertake and execute any additional tasks or responsibilities as delegated by the superior, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives and contributing to the overall success of the company.

Qualifications

• Possess a degree in Industrial/ Mechanical/ electrical Engineering or any other related discipline to manufacturing/assembly.
• Able to interpret mechanical drawing.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Process Capability Index (Cpk), Acceptance Quality Level (AQL) etc.
• Proven experience in quality assurance, with a focus on improving overall product quality.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
• Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, VDA, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
