Job summary

A food safety and quality assurance company in Malaysia is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to take lead ownership of implementing SOPs and quality checks. Job description

Take lead ownership of the implementation, review, and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and QA documentation across the central kitchen and outlets.

Perform and oversee receiving inspections and quality checks on incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging, ensuring proper FIFO practices are followed.

Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with company standards prior to release for outlet distribution and customer orders.

Monitor, verify, and maintain food safety systems, including Halal compliance requirements, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Plan and conduct internal audits; identify gaps, perform root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Prepare, review, and consolidate weekly and monthly QA reports, including quality trends, audit findings, maintenance records, and improvement recommendations.

Act as a key point of contact during audits, inspections, and certification assessments, including liaising with authorities and certification bodies.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety, quality consistency, process control, and wastage reduction.

Support the development and delivery of food safety and hygiene training for central kitchen and outlet staff.

Manage responses to Google Reviews related to quality and food safety, in coordination with management, and follow up on corrective actions with operations and outlets.

Perform other duties as assigned by management in relation to quality assurance and compliance.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.

Minimum 4-6 years of QA/QC experience in F&B operations.

Strong working knowledge of food safety systems and halal requirements.

Proven experience in audits, reporting, and corrective action management.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
