QMR cum Safety Health & Environment Officer

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced QMR cum Safety Health & Environment Officer to join our team at JNW PACKAGING SDN BHD. This is a full‑time position based in Port Klang, Selangor. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's quality management system and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

What you'll be doing

• Developing, implementing and maintaining a robust quality management system to drive continuous improvement.
• Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Providing training and support to colleagues on quality, health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Investigating incidents and near‑misses, and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators to senior management.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and minimize risks.
• Staying up‑to‑date with industry regulations and best practices, and implementing changes as required.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in a similar role within the Mining, Resources & Energy industry.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing quality management systems, as well as health, safety and environmental management systems.
• Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations and standards applicable to the industry.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in the use of relevant software and data analysis tools.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and committed to continuous improvement.
