A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the development and implementation of Food Safety Management and Halal Assurance Systems. Responsibilities include leading a team of quality control personnel, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and developing QA policies. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Food Technology, at least 2 years of experience in QAQC, and strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
Developing overall Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and Halal Assurance System (HAS) strategy
Overseeing certification processes and compliance such as JAKIM Halal, HACCP and MeSTI
Act as primary liaison with regulatory bodies (JAKIM, PKKM, health authorities)
Monitor general housekeeping of WWTP area, ensuring compliance at all times
Develop, approve, and review QA policies, procedures, and work instructions
Handle product complaints, feedback & quality improvement course of actions
Implement preventive measure and corrective action for non-conforming products
Review internal and external audit programs and findings
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related problems
Establish service standards for internal department or external customer;
Lead and monitor a team of QC Personnel across multiple factories.
Providing leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel
Planning duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules;
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to quality assurance activities
Responsible for production raw material testing and other related testing and ensure testing is in compliance to internationally accepted guidelines.
In charge of producing cost analysis for new product
Responsible for new & existing product launching information and reference standard
Managing the development and implementation of the HACCP for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:
Establish service standards for internal department or external customer;
To perform yearly plan for HACCP internal audit and conduct internal training on GMP, Safety program, HALAL and HACCP System.
Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
To perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by management from time to time
Able to work from our multiple factories location in Kepong/ Subang Bestari (Seksyen U5)/ Kundang/ Rawang
