Job summary

A leading engineering company based in Malaysia is seeking a qualified QA/QC Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas fabrication and servicing. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with ASME and TEMA standards, implementing a quality management system, and overseeing fabrication processes. Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure fabrication, repair, and servicing of UPV, Heat Exchangers, and Boilers comply with ASME Section I, VIII, IX, TEMA, project specifications, and DOSH regulations.
• Implement and maintain QMS in line with client, project, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare, review, and control ITP, WPS, PQR, WQT, MDR/Data Book, and material certificates.
• Monitor fabrication, repair, and servicing activities including welding, NDT, PWHT, hydrotest, and final inspection.
• Liaise with DOSH officers, TPI, and clients for inspection, witnessing, and compliance.
• Ensure works under DOSH Repairer license comply with approved procedures and license conditions.
• Support DOSH licensing, audits, compliance monitoring, and license renewal.
• Monitor calibration status of QC/inspection tools and maintain traceability.
• Control welding consumables including storage, drying/holding ovens, issuance, and traceability.
• Manage and close NCR/CAR and corrective actions.
• Monitor all calibration schedule, ensure of equipment always maintained and recorded.
• Monitor and control customer property accordingly.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in QA/QC for Oil & Gas fabrication, boiler servicing, and pressure equipment repair.
• Good knowledge of ASME, TEMA, and DOSH requirements.
• CSWIP / PCN / SKM WI is an added advantage.
• Experience of ISO 900:2015 is an added advantage.
