Job Description
The Quality Manager’s responsibilities include designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will supervise a team to implement quality measures.
A successful Quality Manager should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
Customers
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with customers’ requirements.
- Responsible for engaging with the customers and gathering product feedback.
- Responsible for ensuring 8D reports are standard and are submitted on time to the customer.
- Responsible for managing and approving customers’ First Article Submissions.
Vendors
- Responsible for auditing and managing vendors’ quality.
- Manage and ensure the team performs IQC to standard.
- Responsible for developing and improving processes for incoming inspections (IQC).
- Responsible for involvement in our First Article Product and process development.
Production & Processes
- Responsible for developing and improving processes for in-process quality controls (IPQC).
- Responsible for developing and improving processes for final inspections (FQC).
- Responsible for developing and improving processes for outgoing inspections (OQC).
- Responsible for directing and supervising the QA/QC Team and monitoring production standards.
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the internal production processes.
- Responsible for improving production efficiency and managing waste.
- Responsible for maintaining calibration of measuring equipment.
- Responsible for providing training to individuals who handle the product.
Others
- Responsible for producing statistical reports on quality standards regularly.
- Responsible for analysing the data thoroughly to find the areas of growth.
- Responsible for reporting to upper management on standard quality issues.
- Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and continually improving quality standards.
- Responsible for resolving quality issues with internal and external parties.
- Reviewing the non-conformances & approve disposition actions.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the ISO System, reports, follow-up, and closure.
Requirements
- A degree or a diploma in Engineering is preferred.
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in Precision/Semiconductor or other relevant disciplines.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with the hands‑on quality check of precision parts is required.
- Experience with ISO systems and management preferred.
- Critical thinker and problem‑solving skills.
