Job description

Amphenol DC Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented QA Engineer to join our team in Simpang Ampat Penang. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our manufacturing processes and end products.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and implementing comprehensive quality assurance plans and procedures to monitor and improve product quality
• Performing quality inspections and tests at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify and resolve issues
• Analysing quality data, generating reports and recommending corrective actions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including production, engineering and procurement, to address quality concerns
• Staying up-to-date with industry quality standards and regulations, and ensuring the company's compliance
• Providing training and guidance to production staff on quality control best practices
• Continuously looking for ways to optimise quality systems and processes

What we’re looking for

• Degree in engineering, quality management or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar quality assurance role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
• Proficient in using quality management tools and techniques, such as SPC, FMEA, 8D and root cause analysis
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex quality issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams
• Familiarity with industry quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or AS9100
• Proactive and detail‑oriented approach to quality management
