A manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Support role. The successful candidate will assist in the material purchasing process and ensure a consistent supply of materials to operations according to customer requirements. Candidates should possess a degree in Business or Supply Chain Management and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for liaising with vendors and coordinating supply chain activities. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Support the material purchasing process through a combination of administrative and purchasing responsibilities.
Job Requirement

Ensuring smooth supply of material to related operation that according to customer’s requirements besides aligning with the material supply and operation capacity outlook.
Working closely with operations and supply chain to meet customer requirements and maximum efficiency.
Liaise with vendors for MOQ, lead time, quote, delivery and quality requirements.
Develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items.
Coordinate pricing revisions, order cancellations, delivery date revisions, activities associated with discontinued items, reviews, and may recommend acceptable substitutes, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Interface directly with suppliers to resolve purchasing, change order, and logistics issues.
Assist in supplier contract negotiation and development.
Assist in content preparation and participate in strategic supplier reviews.
