A project management firm is looking for an experienced Project Manager in Kedah, Malaysia. The role requires managing project aspects like safety, quality, and budget while leading a team. Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience and a Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Industrial/Mechanical) and must be actively involved in PLC Programming. Proficiency in project management tools and excellent organizational skills are essential. This position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale projects and maintain client relationships.

Participate in project bidding from the aspect of commercial & technical. Do site survey as per requirement
Participate in contract signing, well understand the project scope of work, construction work load and construction drawings
Plan & organize project team for project execution
Manage project from aspect of safety, quality, schedule, budget, resources, problem solving, sub-con management and project coordination with client, main-con, other contractors on site & company's inter-departments
Periodically reporting the project progress to immediate superior (Senior Project Manager or Project Director) and request for resources support if necessary.
Work-out a Project Execution Plan, Project Setup, Project Closeout and Change Orders base on the project scope of work.
Setting project milestone & targeted project schedule to subordinates. Once the target is set, PM is responsible to decompose the target into detail job content & workload, ensure the site progress meet the milestone.
Based on the targeted project profit margin/ budget, manage the project costing. Monitor project expenses and budget condition from time to time. Furthermore, PM is also responsible to perform project progress claim and keep tracing the payment from client as per contract payment condition.
Strengthen the management of sub-contractor to ensure their works meet Hexagon's safety, quality & progress requirement.
Responsible to arrange manpower resources and work distribution within site project team. Also to evaluate project team members performance through their daily work along the whole project.
Responsible to organize construction drawings verification/ approval, establish & prepare design change proposal, and collect all necessary support documents to claim for compensation
Collect all original approved document related to technical or design change from client. These document shall be proof and part of the acceptance document during project final acceptance.
Manages the project team, internal and external customer relationships, and staffing of project team with competent persons from the functional groups
Keep a good relationship with client
Completing additional tasks arranged by superior.
*Important Candidate MUST be actively involved in PLC Programming at the current role.
Requirement:
Candidate must possessDegree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Industrial/Mechanical) or equivalent.
Technical management, quality management, project management, budget control related training
8 years and above in site project management
Familiar with project management tools
Involved in big scale project execution and management, be able to communicate with client effectively
Excellent in organization, coordination, project management and communication capability.
Proactive, flexibly adapt to changes, responsibility, integrity.
Highly work enthusiasm, good professional ethics
Good working attitude, able to keep good working condition under stress
Knowledge in HMI/SCADA programming, sensors, drives, and control panel wiring. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
