A dynamic media organization in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple projects, including corporate events and marketing initiatives. This role entails end-to-end project management, ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements. Candidates should have at least 3 years of project management experience and a relevant academic background. Strong communication, stakeholder management skills, and proficiency in project tools are essential. The position requires handling various tasks while maintaining high accountability and responsiveness.
The Project Manager will manage multiple projects concurrently, which may include:
Corporate events, conferences, and awards programmes
Media, publishing, marketing, and content-related projects
Client engagements, partnerships, and sponsorship deliverables
Internal operational and process-related projects
The role covers end-to-end project management, from planning and coordination through execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Define project scope, priorities, dependencies, and resource requirements.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved plans and objectives.
Monitor progress and take corrective action where required to address delays or risks.
Schedule and conduct regular daily and/or weekly project meetings, as required, to review progress, align priorities, and confirm next steps.
Prepare and circulate meeting agendas in advance.
Record and distribute meeting minutes, action items, responsibilities, and deadlines.
Follow up on outstanding action items to ensure accountability and timely completion.
Act as the primary coordination point between internal teams, vendors, partners, and clients.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Maintain clear and timely communication with all stakeholders regarding progress, changes, or issues.
Escalate risks or concerns to management in a timely and structured manner.
Track project budgets, costs, and expenditures.
Coordinate manpower, vendor engagement, and third-party resources.
Identify potential cost overruns or resource constraints and propose mitigation measures.
Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints.
Implement risk mitigation and issue resolution plans.
Ensure all deliverables meet agreed quality standards and contractual requirements.
Prepare regular project status reports for management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including approvals, variations, and correspondence.
Ensure proper project closure, including documentation handover and post-project reviews where required.
Ensure projects are managed in accordance with company policies, contractual terms, and professional standards.
Maintain timely and appropriate communication, particularly in relation to attendance, deliverables, and deadlines.
Demonstrate consistent professionalism, reliability, and accountability in all project-related matters.
Projects delivered within agreed scope, timelines, and budgets.
Regular and effective coordination meetings conducted and documented.
Clear communication and timely escalation of risks or issues.
Accurate reporting and documentation.
Minimal disruption to operations due to planning or coordination gaps.
Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
Clear written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
Proficiency in project tracking tools, spreadsheets, and documentation.
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management or project coordination.
Experience working with vendors, clients, and cross‑functional teams is preferred.
Experience in events, media, marketing, or corporate projects is an advantage.

This role requires a high level of accountability, responsiveness, and adherence to timelines.
Occasional after‑hours or weekend work may be required during critical project phases.
