Job summary

A solar energy company in Penang is seeking a project engineer to manage solar construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, ensure timely delivery, and coordinate resources effectively. A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience are required. Knowledge in the Photovoltaic industry and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software are essential. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and be willing to work outstation.

Job description

Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling all project elements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing and planning the construction project and check progress and activities in order.

Managing the supervisors and to resolve site construction problems and making decision.

Plan and strategize on the manpower resources.

Ensure that all site progress and interim collection are as per scheduled.

Controlling the cost of the materials and labour.

Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes, to ensure BOQ and material usage falls within the allocated budget.

Ensuring that projects are delivered on time.

Requirement:

Experience in Solar Industry will be an advantage.

Good in liaison with TNB.

Hardworking, versatile, discipline, self-motivated, good interpersonal and communication skills, fast learner, mature and responsible.

Analytical, able to work independently and handle multi-tasking.

Able to and is willing to work outstation.

Possess good communication skills.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 – 5 years of working experience in related field.

Equivalent experience & knowledge in Photovoltaic industry.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant CAD software.

To have sufficient knowledge on planning Bill of Materials for solar related projects.
