- Execute automation, industrial equipment, and system integration projects from kick-off to final handover in accordance with approved scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review and understand project specifications, technical drawings, contracts, and client requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans including schedules, manpower allocation, and material planning.
- Coordinate daily project activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site teams.
- Track project progress, identify risks or delays early, and propose mitigation actions to the Project Manager.
- Prepare and present regular project progress updates, action lists, and milestone reports to management and clients.
Technical Coordination & System Integration
- Lead in-house and on-site execution of equipment installation, system integration, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, control, and software disciplines to ensure full system functionality.
- Perform system-level troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization during assembly, testing, and commissioning.
- Verify I/O connections, control sequences, interlocks, and safety systems in collaboration with relevant engineers.
- Ensure mechanical, electrical, and control systems are fully integrated and validated prior to customer acceptance.
- Actively participate in and support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities.
Client Interface & Site Support
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients on project progress, technical matters, risks, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate site installation schedules, commissioning activities, and site readiness with customers.
- Provide on-site technical support, system commissioning assistance, and operator training when required.
- Support customer acceptance, sign-off, and final project handover.
Procurement & Cost Control
- Prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM) and material requisitions based on project requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials and components.
- Verify received materials against specifications, drawings, and quality requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors for technical clarification, delivery coordination, and issue resolution.
- Monitor material usage and project-related costs; highlight deviations to the Project Manager.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all project activities comply with company SOPs, ISO 9001, and applicable safety regulations (OSHA/DOSH or equivalent).
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce safe working practices at workshops and customer sites.
- Ensure equipment is inspected, tested, and compliant before installation and handover.
- Support internal and external audits related to quality, safety, and project compliance.
Documentation & Project Control
- Prepare and maintain complete project documentation including:
- 1. Project schedules and execution plans
- 2. Test procedures and test reports
- 3. FAT / SAT records
- 4. Installation and commissioning checklists
Ensure engineering drawings and technical documents are updated to “as-built” status.
Prepare project close‑out documentation, final reports, and completion certificates.
Cross‑Functional & Commercial Support
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, control, software, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical feedback to design teams based on project execution experience.
- Support sales and application teams with technical feasibility checks and cost estimation when required.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, logistics providers, and external service partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution efficiency, quality, and reliability.
- Recommend design or process improvements based on lessons learned from completed projects.
- Stay updated with industrial automation technologies and project execution best practices.
- Participate in internal training, knowledge‑sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and guide technicians and junior engineers during project execution and site activities.
- Assign tasks, monitor workmanship quality, and ensure adherence to engineering and safety standards.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and accountability within project teams.
