Job summary

A leading automotive assembly company in Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to plan and execute welding production line preparations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong GPA, and 2-3 years' experience in project coordination. Duties include process planning, equipment sourcing, and supporting production. Strong skills in AutoCad, Inventor, and CATIA are essential, along with excellent English communication abilities. The company offers a dynamic work environment that values engineering expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (working experience) or 3.50 (fresh graduates).
  • 2-3 years of experience as a project coordinator or project engineer is an added advantage.
  • Strong experience in AutoCad, Inventor, CATIA, and basic C++ programming.

Responsibilities

  • Welding basic planning, investment and line study.
  • Process planning including layout study and technical material specification.
  • Equipment sourcing planning and specification checking.
  • Process preparation and equipment installation.
  • Line trial with production and equipment installation.
  • Equipment handover for SOP.
  • Support for production and maintenance during SOP.

Job description

Planning and carry out for Welding Production Line Preparation mainly for manual process arrangement and welding equipment installation complete with testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • Welding basic planning; investment; line study; equipment sourcing and etc
  • Process planning; layout study, technical materials, detail specification, current line feedback and etc;
  • Equipment sourcing planning; specification, inquiry/order, design study and check, buyoff;
  • Process preparation; sample part ordering. equipment installation, safety study, Kanban Buyoff and etc;
  • Line trial with Production; sample part ordering, equipment installation, safety study;
  • Equipment handover to production and maintenance for SOP;
  • Support for Production and Maintenance during SOP until production line becomes stable
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) or equivalent with minimum CGPA 3.00 (with working experience) and 3.50 (fresh graduates)
  • 2 - 3 years' of experience as a project coordinator or project engineer is an added advantage
  • Strong experience in AutoCad, Inventor, CATIA, Basic C++ programming;
