Job summary

A design and consultancy firm is seeking an Interior Designer in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities include coordinating projects, developing designs, and client consultation. Ideal candidates should have a degree or diploma in Interior Design, along with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in commercial and hospitality sectors. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools is essential, and knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is required for client interactions. A competitive salary package is offered.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for attending to homeowner / customer / project inquiries
  • To fully involve in the design development stage with the design team.
  • Proposal 3D conceptual design and prepare 3D & 2D drawings.
  • To provide full design consultation services to clients for residential industries following the requirements of design and built service.
  • Responsible for design, drafting and conceptual design including all design presentation, perspective drawings and construction drawings as per client requirement.
  • To prepare BQ, quotation submission, sample board proposal to client.
  • To plan, coordinate, supervise and control projects from site inception to completion.
  • Attend to project requirement on site visit, site measurements, site coordination and meeting
  • Follow up on material orders, verify suppliers and subcontractors' claims.
  • To prepare all claims submission & V.O. claims to the client and to follow up with payment collection.
  • To ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and meeting quality standards.
Requirements
  • Degree/ Diploma in Interior Design
  • Working experience in commercial and hospitality (hotel & restaurant) projects is an advantage.
  • 2 years of working experience in interior design firm
  • Creative, innovative, independent, self motivated, disciplined and good sense of responsibility.
  • Able to brief and meet client for design briefing and attend the client’s requirement
  • Must be able to communicate in Mandarin / Cantonese due to the nature of business
  • Required skills: AutoCAD, 2D & shop drawing, interiCAD or 3D Max / 2020/ Coohom

Salary package : Basic + Design Incentive + Transport Allowance RM600
